Configuration Tab
Basic or Professional
The Configuration tab contains run settings that materially affect backtest results. In the UI it appears as the settings icon in the Algo Lab workspace tabs.
What Lives Here
Section titled “What Lives Here”Agent Defaults
Set default objective, trade-side preference, holding constraints, and notes for new Case Study missions.
Gate Policy
Configure evidence gates used by new research missions so candidates are not promoted on weak tests.
Run Consistency
Keep parameter changes visible so later results can be compared fairly.
Practical Notes
Section titled “Practical Notes”- Changing inputs or strategy properties changes the next run’s evidence.
- Applying a best parameter row from Params Optimization updates these settings for the next run.
- Agent defaults seed new Case Studies; an existing Case Study can carry its own mission policy.
